Woodwork Roadshow
The Pour HouseWith guitar, upright bass and mandolin, Columbia, S.C.’s Woodwork Roadshow offers acoustic pop with tinges of blues and bluegrass. Its singer-songwriter moments are fine, but the trio really hits its stride when it begins to shamble and not take itself too seriously. Recently reunited after a two-year break, Woodwork Roadshow released its second album this June. Hopefully, the group will continue to allow itself to rust in just the right places. Opener Owen Beverly plays sentimental, delicate, indie rock, while the Nick Zuber Band delivers the soft funk you’d expect to hear creeping from beneath closed dorm room doors late at night.
