Jim Watson & Friends Christmas Party

The CaveThe holiday season ushers in traditions of all shapes, sizes and styleswith the most joyous often being the ones that bring families together. Of course, families come in all shapes, sizes and styles, from extended and close-knit to makeshift and dysfunctional. Those concepts collidein a gentle, holiday-appropriate mannerwhen original Red Clay Rambler and all-around busy music man Jim Watson gathers folks for his annual Christmas sing-along. There’ll be relatives of both the actual and honorary variety, lyric sheets in hand as conductor/ ringmaster Watson lights the way for the 24th year. “I don’t even worry about turning on the heat,” says Cave owner Mouse Mock. “Jim’s show is so warm and festive.” Five bucks gets you in, and the first carol drops at 8 p.m. See www.caverntavern.com. You can also find Watson spreading cheer on Dec. 20 at the Masonic Lodge in Hillsborough starting at 4 p.m. Rick Cornell
