What does a 6,200-mile bicycle trip from Bar Harbor, Maine to San Diego look like? At Weaver Street Market, there will be an outdoor screening of Share the Road: Tales from a Band of Gypsy Bikers, produced by Chapel Hill-based Cirque Productions. Brian Burnham, Leon Godwin and others, including a 15-year-old high school student, made the trip in the summer of 2003, and their hour-long film shows the things they saw: vast expanses of corn and sunflowers, steep mountain ranges and sunsets over the Pacific. The Friday, May 27 event runs from 6-9 p.m. Roots rockers Big Pretty & The Red Rockets perform before and after the 7 p.m. screening.
