The theme for this year’s show by members of the African American Quilt Circle is Family Stitches, and woven into the collection of beautiful handmade works are family stories and histories. Each year the quilters are given a challenge fabric to incorporate into a piece; this year the group chose a distinctive African print. The show opens with a reception Friday, Jan. 14 from 6-9 p.m. at the Hayti Heritage Center. Visit for details.
