Dark Party
The Pour HouseIn their respective solo careers and in their recent collaboration, Dark Party, electronic beat makers/ soundscapers Eliot Lipp and Leo 123 intertwine threads of hip-hop, house, trance and avant-garde. The result is a teeming world of sound, where emcee breaks splash against pop themes and sharp glitches reflect off coruscated drones. There’s a touch of German prog grandiosity, too, which pushes the tunes into triumphant arcs, not exhausting road races. Brooklyn opener Mux Mool mines many of the same sounds with a heavier hammer, pushing the party buttons so hard that Dark Party’s headlining set might seem like a distended coda closing a burst of dance. The 9 p.m. show costs $5-$8. Grayson Currrin
