Local 506Paul Burch plays the acoustic 1950s rockabilly of a rail-riding hobo. His loose shuffle lends itself equally well to Texas two-step or slow grinding on the dance floor. A slight R&B allure coats his vocal chords as words fall forward like honey. Burch plays tonight without his backing band, The WPA Ballclub.
