CARLO PETRINI
N.C. STATE CAMPUSThe Slow Food movement was founded in 1989 by Carlo Petrini, as a reactionary-in-a-good-way response to the modes of producing and distributing food that humans employed for thousands of millennia before Ray Kroc and Archer Daniels Midland came along and turned us into a fast food society. Petrini will speak tonight as as the inaugural presenter for NCSU’s Center for Environmental Farming System’s Sustainable Agriculture Lecture. The free event begins at 7 p.m. at the McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman St. For more info, call 513-0954 or visit www.cefs.ncsu.edu. David Fellerath
