The Pour House–Shirlette Ammons leads Mosadi Music, one of the more chops-up outfits in the Triangle, with The Applejuice Kid holding down the snare, Nic Slaton grooving on the bass, and Chris Boerner letting his pedals preach. Ammons’ lyrical poetry marches with a spirit and vitality coyly dressed with a smile only cloaking a dagger-sharp tongue and intellect.
