KAPOW! MUSIC, THE HUMBOLDT CURRENT
NIGHTLIGHTThis bill claims four East Coast indie pop acts worth hearing: Kapow! Music skips between rock thrum and pop bounce, combining the two with a Pavement quirk at band best. Perhaps you’ve heard Sara Morrisor The Humboldt Current, in its folk-grace debut herebacking David Karsten Daniels with perfect harmonies. Richmond’s Great White Jenkins adds soul to its mix and puts some Stiffness in its able melodic edges. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. Grayson Currin

DEXTER ROMWEBER DUO
THE POUR HOUSEHometown hero, guitar god and all-around madman, Dexter Romweber is such a local treasure the Historical Society should put a plaque on him. It’d be appropriate as, whether seeing him performing or talking to him, you can come away with the impression Romweber just Quantum Leapt here yesterday. Camped out at the nexus of country, blues and rock, he’s equally adept at howling noise or jumping jive, and he’s a mesmerizing performer. Spend $6-$8 for the 10 p.m. show, doors open at 8. Chris Parker
