Scott McCloud, the author of Making Comics, will give a free lecture at NCSU on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. The presentation is part of his “50 State Tour” promoting his new book.
While McCloud was a successful comic book writer/ artist in the 1980s, he is best known for his seminal works Understanding Comics and Reinventing Comics. His latest book, Making Comics, completes the trilogy. He and his family have undertaken a 50-state tour in support of the book.
McCloud’s multimedia presentation will be held in the Talley Student Center, 2610 Cates Ave., North Carolina State University, Raleigh. Admission to the event is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-serve style.
