THE EVERYBODYFIELDS

SHAKORI HILLS–There’s a hushed, beckoning quality to the music of Johnson City, Tenn.’s everybodyfields, as if the youthful trio is holding back just a touch in an effort to get you to nudge a little closer to the stereo or stage. It’s a lonesome, borderline mysterious sound as well, tough to pinpoint whether it’s coming from musicians who’ve been surrounded by mountain music their whole lives or who took the indie/punk train to acousticville. I bet moonlight becomes them–making them a perfect choice for the latest installment of the Shakori Hills Moonlight, Music and Dance series in Silk Hope. The summoning begins at 7:30 p.m., and the suggested donation when the pith helmet is passed is $5-$8 for adults. —Rick Cornell
