Europe Central
Manbites Dog TheaterWilliam T. Vollmann's award-winning novel Europe Central tells the history shared by Russia and Germany with riffs on art, music, literature and history. These texts and art forms are explored in Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern's original stage adaptation, with a dream meditation on art's survival in the midst of WWII's madness and a psychological portrait of some of Europe's political and cultural players (Hitler and Stalin, and Anna Akhmatova, Kathe Kollwitz and Dmitri Shostakovich). Tickets for the 8:15 show are $17; the play runs through Feb. 2. Visit www.littlegreenpig.com. Kathy Justice
