CARRBORO
Don Dixon, Mitch Easter
Cat's CradleEven if Don Dixon and Mitch Easter had nothing else to show for their musical selves but their studio teamwork on R.E.M.'s Murmur, that'd still be a not-too-shabby legacy. Of course, they'd already done notable work before then, setting the pop/rock bar incredibly high onstage and on record for all subsequent N.C. bands with Arrogance and Sneakers, respectively. And we'd need this whole two-page spread to chronicle the pair's achievements since. Dixon continues with his Jump Rabbits in support of last year's The Entire Combustible World in One Small Room, while Easter is celebratingand we haven't been able to say this in 18 yearshis new solo release, Dynamico. Tickets are $12 for the 9 p.m. show. Rick Cornell
