Rosenthal
Sadlack'sFormer pugilist turned boxing announcer Tokyo Rosenthal recently resurrected a career he abandoned more than three decades ago after signing to MCA in his early 20s. Deeply inspired by The Band's country-blues and The Byrds' folksy strum, Rosenthal's varnished resonant tenor sails gracefully across Americana tableaus while lamenting lost years in "Edmonton" and vanquished loves on the honky-tonk "You're Dead to Me Now." "The light came on, but much too late," sings the Chapel Hill resident on "Too Late for Me, Carolina." His crisp, indomitable vocals beg to differ. 6 p.m. Chris Parker
