DUKE CHOREOLAB 2006

REYNOLDS THEATER–Is the body a roadblock to piety, or a means by which you get there? What happens when two singers, steeped in African-American spirituals and Gaelic culture, consider community and renewal with a choreographer of a different faith? And just what devious things can Tyler Walters do to an unsuspecting tango lesson? The answers are on stage when Duke Dance presents a spring concert of new works this afternoon at 3 p.m. (the first showing is Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m.). Tickets are $15 and $5 for Duke students; call 684-4444 or go to www.tickets.duke.edu. —Byron Woods
