Out of the Silence
Ideas! Coffee HouseFounded in 2002, this emporium, located in southern Durham, has been a venue for art, poetry and live jazz ever since. They also serve up a panoply of caffeine products, including 16-ounce frappes. Out of the Silence builds awareness of domestic violence: Writers and performers line up to read poetry and share personal stories. It happens twice a month, on the second and fourth Tuesdays.
