NEW WORKS FESTIVAL
DUKE CAMPUSEvery year, Duke’s theater department holds the New Works Festival to showcase student work. This year’s show begins tonight in the Brody Theater on East Campus. The six plays are all brand new works written, acted and directed by students. The festival runs through April 21, each night starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5, $3 for students and senior citizens. “THE SOUL IN THE MACHINE”
N.C. STATE CAMPUSIt’s been a long time since video games were just Space Invaders and Pac-Man. With technology constantly evolving, games have become a multibillion market worldwide. Where are they headed? To find out, check out NC State’s event “The Soul in the Machine,” part of its “Future of Games” series. The speaker is Juan Benito, creative director of Destineer Games, the company responsible for Age of Empires. The event takes place at 4:30 p.m. at 320 Brooks Hall at the NCSU Main Campus, and will be hosted by Timothy Buie from the School of Design and R. Michael Young from the Department of Computer Science. The event is free. Zack Smith
