A CHRISTMAS CAROL
PROGRESS ENERGY CENTERA tale of Victorian morality that involves a miser and some ghosts may be the best way to prepare for the holiday season that has already arrived. Still, some may wonder if we need any more encouragement to spend money; certainly, Ebenezer Scrooge gives seasonal thrift a bad name. For the past 33 years the Theatre in the Park’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol has been a local favorite and has become the company’s leading fundraiser. As usual, Ira David Wood III directs and stars. All shows are in Memorial Auditorium and tickets range in price from $19-$75. For more information, call 831-6936 or visit www.theatreinthepark.com.
