She is a wonderful example of what amazing work shelter rescue groups do. Millie is a 2 yr old border collie/golden mix, dropped off as a puppy to Rutherford County Animal Shelter, saved by a team of women and transported to Jersey Shore Pet Adoptions, NJ. Recently we relocated to Cary and Millie has returned to her NC roots.Millie is such an important part of our family. She was integral in our engagement, bringing my ring tied sweetly around her neck. She can make my 96 yr old grandmother smile bigger than any of us can. Our lives have changed so much since adopting Millie. She has showed us a love unlike any other we have experienced. I now volunteer at a local shelter taking photos of dogs and cats to help other “Millie’s” find their own forever families.
