Our nationally-recognized landscape designer, Evan Blewett, works in a variety of styles – cottage garden, Japanese garden, naturalistic – often blending styles for unique effect. Our team of landscapers has the skill and experience to install the full range of landscape features: retaining walls, walks and patios, garden ponds, streams and pond-less waterfalls, landscape lighting, arbors, and drainage solutions. We employ organic methods and emphasize drought-tolerant plants to minimize water use.
Evan Blewett, owner of LandArts, comments that “It’s interesting to watch a space undergo transformation. Everyone gets caught up in the excitement-the designer, the workers and the homeowner. What I’m trying to do is create a sense of place, free of distractions from the outside world. We bring in elements from nature – the sound and movement of water; the fragrance, color and texture of plants; and the weathered character of fieldstone and tumbled pavers. The challenge is that in suburban lots with limited space each element of the design may have to serve several functional needs in addition to being aesthetically pleasing.”
