From coast to coast and back again

In 2005 I moved here from San Diego to attend UNC-CH. Just one year later, I met Leslie while we were both waiting tables and bartending at Lone Star Steakhouse in Durham. We instantly began a friendship that evolved into the best of friends. After I graduated in May 2008, I returned to San Diego and kept in touch with Leslie daily. It was inevitable that we couldn’t stay apart. So naturally I moved back to N.C. and in with Leslie in September. At first we were trying to resist the feelings, but they were overwhelming. We fell truly in love, and it has been an adventure ever since. We are inseparable and really strive to be an amazing couple. We are each other’s biggest fans and supporters in life.

We have been a couple for almost five years. In October 2011 we flew to Boston, Massachusetts, and legally got married.

Leslie is from the Durham area, and we are lucky to share our lives and spend time with her family. And I try to fly home as often as I can. Currently we live in Raleigh, but we will be moving back to Durham in April. Durham suits our lives much better, and we miss being close to family and friends. I am a dental hygienist, and Leslie is working on becoming a veterinarian at N.C. State. She also works as a vet tech in Durham. Which brings us to our two dogs: Chloe and Penny, who we rescued in 2008.

We both love the beach, traveling, going on cruises, and enjoy taking road trips as often as we can. Life has thrown both of us in many directions, but together now, with a glass of nice red wine, we can accomplish anything! Michelle and Leslie Kingprager Raleigh
