Cherry Pie burst onto the scene just over two years ago, and things are going well, according to Erik, the store’s manager since opening. “Men and women alike really seem to enjoy the ‘Cherry Pie Experience,’ which makes us feel good because they’re the reason we’re here.” With Christmas, the mid-January “Anniversary Sale” and Valentine’s Day now behind them, things get back to “almost normal,” says Erik.
The self-proclaimed World’s Finest Adult Superstore is certainly a fun departure from normal adult retail. The building is very nice, with a well-lit, spacious and organized layout inside. “We’ve merchandised the store to give every customer the choice to shop where they feel comfortable, which is very important to them,” says Christine, Erik’s wife and Cherry Pie’s “visual merchandiser.”
The front of the shop is lined with glass display cases containing helpful books, beautiful Phallix brand Pyrex toys and contemporary tobacco accessories. The sales floor features candles & incense, lubes & lotions; parody t-shirts, lingerie, costumes and a great selection of gag gifts and party favors.
Just beyond that you’ll find “Toyland,” featuring hundreds of toys of every size, shape & color. All I can say is “Ooooh!” If flicks are your thing, check out the impressive movie room, offering thousands of adult DVD’s for sale or rent, with New Releases, Classics and everything in between. Best of all, the prices at Cherry Pie are downright reasonable. “We have had many compliments about the prices on our merchandise since opening,” says Erik.
If you’d like to get a taste of the “Cherry Pie Experience,” they’re just south of I-40 #270, across 15-501 from Performance Auto. Store hours are Monday – Thursday 10 am – midnight, Friday & Saturday 10 am – 2 am and Sunday 12 pm – 10 pm.
