Enjoy sweet spring pleasures
Although our non profit organization, The North Carolina Renaissance Faire has been in existence for many years, we are surprised there are still many people in the Triangle that have never heard of us.
Each spring this event celebrates Medieval and Renaissance history by featuring Knights on Horseback Jousting, Queen Elizabeth I and her Royal Court, Music & Dance,
Puppetry, Magic, Swordplay, Food, Games and Much More.
This year our event will be Three Weekends, and, for the first time, we are celebrating two Special Days. Friday, April 6 is Tartan Day the Scottish equivalent of St. Patrick’s Day/ We are the Official Tartan Day celebration for the Triangle and we have a full day of activities planned featuring the Scottish Tribal Drumming band, Albannach; noted Scottish historian, David Ross; a Bonnie Knees Contest with cash prize and Parade of the Clans/Tartans sponsored by The Tartan Day Committee. There will be a ticket discount for men wearing kilts that day.
Saturday, April 7, will be BackPack Buddies Day. Bring select Lowes Foods brand items to be donated to the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle for their BackPack Buddies program which benefits area children.
Also, on April 1, April Fools Day, we have a special discount for all College Students.
Just bring you current, valid College ID to receive this discount.
This year’s story is about the famous Irish, female Pirate, Grace O’Malley.
Come join the fun for this very special season at The North Carolina Renaissance Faire. We’ll be at the State Fairgrounds March 31 & April 1, April 6, 7, & 8 and April 14 & 15.
The Renaissance Rally, an event for students and educators will be held Monday, April 16 at the Hunt Horse Complex. Reservations Only.
