H.C. McEntire
The Pinhook, Durham
Friday, February 9 & Saturday, February 10, 2018

Back in February, Heather McEntire celebrated the release of her debut solo album, Lionheart, at The Pinhook in Durham with two sold-out shows. Having led Mount Moriah for a number of years, McEntire has stepped out on her own with solo a release via Merge Records.

McEntire remains one of the best songwriters among the crowded and prestigious Triangle music scene, and these shows only furthered that reputation. Standout songs included, โ€œRed Silo,โ€ the chilling โ€œOne Great Thunder,โ€ โ€œWild Dogs,โ€ โ€œBabyโ€™s Got The Blues,โ€ and the delightfully disco backbeat of a cover of Waylon Jenningsโ€™ โ€œAre You Sure Hank Done It This Way?โ€

Below are a handful of songs from the two night event at The Pinhook.
