Good morning, readers.

If you live anywhere in Wake County other than Raleigh, chances are good that you have a municipal election coming up this fall. In 11 towns across the county, voters will elect some combination of mayors, town council members, and town commissioners.

And, with dozens of candidates filing for public office, the Wake municipal elections have a lot going on this year: mayoral showdowns with sitting commissioners and town council members in Fuquay-Varina, Morrisville, and Wake Forest? Check. A rock star running for the town board in Wendell? Check. Small-town drama in Zebulon? Double check.

So make sure your voter registration is up-to-date and read up on who will be on your ballot. Early voting begins October 16 and Election Day is November 4.

Have a good Tuesday.
