Careful perusal of the Bulls’ opening day roster revealed only three outfielders. It didn’t take long to bump the number to four, though.
On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Rays cleared room for BJ Upton’s return to the lineup by optioning outfielder Matt Joyce to Durham. Players have three days to report to their assignment, and a Bulls spokesman tells us Joyce will likely begin his Bulls stint in time for Tuesday’s game against the Gwinnett Braves.
