John McCain may not know much about “the e-mail,” but he knows an ocean when he sees one.
Science Debate 2008 worked with leading organizations to craft vital questions regarding science, the environment, stem cell research and other pressing scientific issues for presidential candidates. John McCain and Barack Obama both answered the questionnaire.

Here’s part of McCain’s answer:
As a former Navy officer I was constantly reminded of the power, wonder and complexity of our world’s oceans … Although I have served the State of Arizona in the United States Senate, I have always had an enormous attraction to and appreciation for our oceans.
As for auto emissions and climate change, McCain says he wants to offer a $300 million prize “for the development of a battery package that has the size, capacity, cost and power to leapfrog the commercially available plug-in hybrids or electric cars.”
Who wants to be a 300millionaire? I mean, besides Cindy McCain.
