Swanstrom v. Dollar: It comes down to provisionals
Al Swanstrom, the Democratic challenger facing incumbent Republican Nelson Dollar for the House District 36 seat in Wake County, tells Indy reporter Fiona Morgan that the race is too close to call, and that provisional ballots may decide the election. According to the NC Board of Elections, Dollar leads by 683 votes.
MSNBC projects Obama wins presidency
MSNBC has just called the presidential race for Barack Obama, projecting he will win 284 electoral votes, 14 more than the required 270. North Carolina is still too close to call, with McCain leading 49.7 percent to Obama’s 49.3 percent.
