Prez candidate Barr to speak at Duke, UNC
Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr will visit Duke University and UNC Tuesday, Oct. 28. Under the Dome has the details. Barr is on the ballot in North Carolina. Public Policy Polling estimated Barr at 3 percent of the N.C. vote in late September; that number has dropped to 1 percent as of Oct. 11.

A real tear jerker: ‘Rodanthe’ beach house washing away
The Associated Press reports this morning in The News & Observer that a house used in exterior shots for Nights in Rodanthe is washing away due to rough surf. The six-bedroom house is located about a mile down the N.C. beach from where the movie was filmed. Read the Indy’s review of the flick.
