Duke coach Joanne P. McCallie has signed five players to women’s basketball letters of intent, a group that ESPN HoopGurlz says is the best in the country this year.
The signees include 6-3 wing Haley Peters of Red Bank, N.J.; 5-11 guard Chelsea Gray of Manteca, Calif.; 6-1 guard Tricia Liston of River Forest, Ill.; 6-1 forward Richa Jackson of Midwest City, Okla.; and 5-7 guard Chloe Wells of Colton, Calif., who played her junior season at Apex High.
Gray is ranked the No. 4 recruit in the country while Jackson is ranked No. 6 by ESPN. Peters is ranked as high as No. 9 by the Blue Star Report, while Wells is No. 26 and Liston is No. 28 in the Collegiate Girls’ Basketball Report.
