N.C. Central plays the more manageable half of its women’s basketball road trip to the state of Maryland today at 5:30, when the Eagles visit former and future MEAC foe Morgan State.

The teams split a pair of meetings last season, with each team winning by double digits on the road. The Eagles and Bears will play only once this season.

NCCU opened its season on Saturday night with an 88-39 loss at Maryland, with Joanna Miller (pictured) scoring 15 points in her career debut for the Eagles. Morgan State also got off to a rough start, falling 85-68 at UNC Greensboro on Saturday.

The Eagles will play their home opener on Wednesday at 5:30 against Campbell.
