
N.C. Central has signed two seniors to men’s basketball letters-of-intent, including one player first-year coach LeVelle Moton (pictured) says will be the “centerpiece” of the program.
Joining the Eagles next season will be that 5-11 guard, Mike Wynn Jr., of Lawrenceville, Va., as well as 6-6 forward Tim Hobbs of Goldsboro.
Wynn is currently playing for Heat Academy in Martinsville, Va., after starring for three seasons at Brunswick High. He was named first-team all-state in Virginia by The Associated Press last season after leading the Bulldogs to the Group AA title game for three straight seasons.
Hobbs, who plays for Wayne Country Day in Goldsboro, is averaging 18 points and nine rebounds per game.
