Joli Robinson helped start the women’s basketball program at Winston-Salem State when she was an undergraduate back in the 1970s.
Little did she know that she might someday get a milestone victory over her alma mater.
Robinson, now the veteran coach at N.C. Central, will go for her 200th career win tonight at 7 when WSSU visits McDougald-McLendon Gym.
The Eagles are 2-11 while their former CIAA rivals from WSSU are 2-10.
Tonight is “Pack the House” night for NCCU, part of a national competition to be named champion of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Pack the House Challenge.
NCCU won the teams’only meeting last season, 68-66 in Winston-Salem.
