Yesterday, the news was all about Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane and his insistence that he receive every last cent in change after a late night cab ride. Today, we were treated to some local news.
It’s rare that the Hurricanes should crack the front page of MSN.com, but this news nugget was placed there this afternoon (it must have been a slow news day.) Apparently, the team is suing local hip-hop artist Tyrone Banks for infringing upon their trademark…after using his work and rewarding him with tickets. Banks’ song, which contained the Hurricanes’ name, was included in in-house promotions and advertising, but something went wrong and now both parties are miffed. The article is worth a read, if you can stomach it.
