N.C. State led most of the way and finished with four players in double figures, but the Wolfpack ended up on the short end of a 74-71 score at No. 16 Florida State.

Cierra Bravard hit a layup and a free throw over the final 11 seconds to give the Seminoles (16-3, 3-1 ACC) the victory.

NCSU (11-7, 1-2 ACC) had a chance to tie, but Christian Hunnicut intercepted a pass at midcourt to preserve the result.

Marissa Kastanek (pictured) led the Wolfpack with 18 points, followed by Nikitta Gartrell with 17 and Lucy Ellison and Amber White with 10 each.

Alysha Harvin led FSU with 21 points, followed by Bravard’s and Courtney Ward and Angel Gray with 11 each.

The Wolfpack’s next game is at home on Thursday night against Wake Forest.
