Today is going to be a very big day for ACC women’s basketball.
All three of the conference’s teams in the Triangle have home games with serious non-conference opposition today. This time, N.C. Central is part of the mix as well.
The Eagles (0-6) will start the action when they visit Virginia Tech (4-3) – led by Northern Durham alumna Utahya Drye – for a 1 p.m. contest at Cassell Coliseum. That one is part of a doubleheader, as the Hokies’ men’s team will host Georgia at 3:30.
There are two more games at 2 p.m., with No. 11 Duke (6-1) hosting Southern California (4-3) at Cameron Indoor Stadium and N.C. State (5-3) entertaining Texas Christian (5-2) at Reynolds Coliseum.
The final game of the afternoon is at 4:30, when No. 4 UNC (5-1) hosts St. John’s (7-0) at the Smith Center.
Tickets will be available at the gate for all the games.
