Soon, Durham residents will be able to experience the same blissful summer evenings as denizens of Chapel Hill, where the best burger in the country is followed by a never-ending selection of strange craft brews.
Beer Study’s Durham location announced on Facebook Thursday that it will expand into its neighboring space—left vacant by the closure of The Boot last year—creating a soccer bar, adding event space, and most important, bringing in Al’s Burger Shack.
“We expect to open in March (but you never know),” Beer Study announced. Construction has already begun.
The new addition includes The Boot Room, a soccer pub with a full bar and arcade games, and serves as a “Liverpool, Barcelona, Club America, and American Outlaws Supporters’ Group Bar.” (No word on if Manchester United or Real Madrid fans will be allowed in.)
On the downside, dogs will no longer be allowed inside Beer Study, to comply with the health code. Beer Study responded to a Facebook comment about the dog situation, saying, “We plan to do some things in the additional outdoor space we will have to make more dog-friendly.”
