Friday the thirteenth might be a superstitious occasion for some, but it’s going to be a good day for two of Durham’s most polished hip-hop artists, who have teamed up for a double album release show. JooseLord Magnus’s S.K.U.L.L. is one of the Triangle’s most anticipated new hip-hop albums. His hardcore aesthetic is reminiscent of the delivery of Onyx, M.O.P., DMX, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, but he merges it with conscious content. 3AM delivers a sharp sonic disparity in comparison to JooseLord, offering melodic trap vibes layered over heavy 808s. The two have perfected their onstage presence by creating genuine high-energy moments that quickly get their audiences shouting along with the lyrics. With Brassiousmonk, Snyp Luciano, Konvo The Mutant, and Brill.
