It’s hard to beat a summertime Saturday spent in Saxapahaw. The small town’s quiet charm makes it a great place to get away for an afternoon or a full day. On top of it all, the annual Saturdays in Saxapahaw concert series offers easy-going—and free—early-evening escapes.
Today, Heather LaGarde rolled out the tradition’s May-to-August lineup. As with previous iterations, this summer’s lineup focuses on local roots-oriented acts. This year’s slate includes Kamara Thomas, Skylar Gudasz, Josh Moore, Sarah Shook, and more. You can check out the full schedule below.
Along with the announcement comes the beginning of a crowdfunding campaign to raise $10,000 to fund the series and staff, pay for sound upgrades, and drive Culture Mill’s Trust the Bus art installation series, which debuted last year.
