On Friday, we got two new local music treats: a three-song EP from CALAPSE, and a long-awaited full-length solo record from Mount Moriah’s Heather McEntire. They’ve got some new videos for us, too,
First off, McEntire has a fresh clip from “Quartz in the Valley,” her latest single from the new Lionheart. Alexis Bravos, a filmmaker based in Hillsborough, shot the video on 16mm film. McEntire celebrates Lionheart‘s release over two nights next weekend at The Pinhook—Friday tickets are here and Saturday’s are here.
Friday also brought us a new EP, titled Vital Signs, from CALAPSE, the electronic music moniker of Durham’s Reed Benjamin. You can listen to Vital Signs here, and catch CALAPSE Wednesday night at Ruby Deluxe in Raleigh.
