It’s true, PlayPlay has been away-way since last year, when they moved to New York City. But they still consider Durham, where they were a big gear in the dance-party clockwork, their second home. Tomorrow, Knightwerk Records drops PlayPlay’s second EP, Invocation, on streaming and download platforms. It’s “an invocation to the cyber-gods” that we’ll review in Wednesday’s issue—but in the meantime, enjoy first single “Truromance,” a clean-lined, summer-scented classic house vamp streaked with gasps and giggles.
