For its 20th anniversary, the Bull Durham Blues Festival expands to three nights. Night onea tribute to North Carolina blues and old-time legends Etta Baker, John Dee Holeman and Joe Thompsonhappens in Hayti Heritage Center’s theater. Nights two and three are scheduled for the festival’s longtime home of Durham Athletic Park, and it’s scheduled for an extra hour each night this year. The Bull Durham Blues Festival happens the first weekend after Labor Day each September. Tickets are $30 for Thursday, $35 for Friday, $35 for Saturday, or $85 for a three-day pass through Wednesday, Sept. 5. Prices increase as the festival starts.
