Actor, game show host, former Nixon speechwriter and economist (in order of importance) Ben Stein will speak Tuesday at the annual meeting of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. The topic: “Business, Economics and America.” The meeting will be held at the spanking-new Raleigh Convention Center.
Stein, a conservative, was on CBS Sunday Morning last weekend railing against U.S foreign policy, including its sabre-rattling against Russia and hasty promises to the Republic of Georgia. Big omission: Stein conveniently didn’t mention who is responsible for these calamities abroad: the Bush administration, including John McCain, whose campaign foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, has lobbied on behalf of Georgia.
