Few first novels make the kind of impact that Charles Frazier’s Cold Mountain did. Nine years later, the reluctant literary superstar turns his attention from the Civil War to the Cherokee Trail of Tears, while staying in the North Carolina mountains. If you missed Frazier’s recent reading of Thirteen Moons at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh, you have two more chances to meet the author. On Wednesday, Nov. 1, Frazier visits The Regulator Bookshop in Durham for a 7 p.m. book signing. The next day, Thursday, Nov. 2, Frazier will be at McIntyre’s Fine Books at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro for a book signing that starts at 6 p.m. Big crowds are expected at these cozy establishments, and Frazier will sign 500 books max at each event.
