Oh, them Dixon boys : Carrboro’s finest fraternity of artists, also known as Laird and Kevin Dixon, reveal their newest installation of paintings, drawings and sculptures Sunday night from 6-9 p.m. at Chapel Hill’s Fuse (403 W. You may recognize the names for several reasons: The two share their own musical notation system in the recently reunited indie-slouch act Zen Frisbee, while Laird leads Shark Quest through serpentine themes and Kevin draws the …and then there was rock comic each week in the Independent . And you may remember a certain Bonaparte-ian swine from Laird on last year’s inaugural Indy Music Awards cover. Joining the brothers is mother Beverly, an award-winning portrait artist who–in all honesty–is so good she has chosen to no longer accept commissions.
