(…and modern, Scottish folk, improv and a few other flavors for that matter): Choreo Dance Sampler, the modern dance collective’s regional Winter invitational has always been about the big tent–cramming in as many different dance forms as possible on the same stage in the same concert. From the looks of things, this year’s episode may just be a personal best. Jo Kalat’s Scottish dancing goes on before Durham Riverside High students bust their best hip-hop moves. Sharon Bryant’s Cai Flamenco troupe shares the stage with Laura Thomasson and Maria Laudati-Welsh’s edgy work to Nina Simone. Footnotes Tap Ensemble will hoof it. And the audience gets in on the act when they’re invited to control the moves in Choreo Collective’s “Weaver” improvisation. $6, $5 students. 260-8043.
