Ah, the pie chart. It’s literally the most intelligible kind of chart there is floating around out there, whether 2nd District U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers agrees or not (she does not). Here is something Renee Ellmers said:

“Men do tend to talk about things on a much higher level. Many of my male colleagues, when they go to the House floor, you know, they’ve got some pie chart or graph behind them and they’re talking about trillions of dollars and how, you know, the debt is awful and, you know, we all agree with that.” […]

“We need our male colleagues to understand that if you can bring it down to a woman’s level and what everything that she is balancing in her life – that’s the way to go.”

Which is fine. Renee Ellmers doesn’t understand pie charts and therefore assumes that all women don’t understand pie charts and need to be spoken to by men “down to a woman’s level.” Also fine.

But accordingly, no one in their right mind would call Ellmers “an avowed feminist,” which is what Kay Daly—one of Ellmers’ four Republican opponents for her congressional district seat—has done. And that’s not even the most bizarre thing Kay Daly said in her latest email, entitled Feminazis of a feather flock together, that she sent out to people she’s hitting up for campaign money:

My congressman stinks, and I’m taking her out in the Republican primary in North Carolina’s 2nd District. Her name is Renee Ellmers and she was first elected in 2010 by the narrowest of margins after a recount. The GOP majorities in the legislature then gerrymandered the district into a safe Republican seat, and Ellmers is now the incumbent in a seat the Left can’t win – except that they already have.

Admitting that North Carolina’s congressional districts were gerrymandered to favor Republican candidates—is that what it takes to not be a RINO these days?

Here is some more abuse Kay Daly has heaped upon her “congressman” Renee Ellmers recently:

My three beautiful children joined me when I filed because it is their future that has been placed very much in doubt by the political stupidity and cowardice of my Congressman (RINO Renee Ellmers), GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, and a host of other gutless politicians who campaign as “conservatives,” but govern as craven weasels cowering in the corner.

With the support of Ellmers & McCarthy, John Boehner and Paul Ryan have turned the Speaker’s Office from a bully pulpit into the Pansy Pulpit, and I’ve had enough. Renee Ellmers has saddled my children (and yours) with an absurd level of debt that they have no realistic hope of ever repaying. The policy wonks call it “intergenerational wealth transfer,” but I call it what it is: it’s child abuse. It’s fiscal child abuse, and it must end.

The Congress has stolen from our children and our children’s children because it has politicians like Renee Ellmers who can’t say no. They are hopelessly addicted to the crack of spending other people’s money. It’s an entirely new kind of slavery: the kind where you force children to work to pay off money you spent before they were even born.

And here’s some more:

Folks, my opponent has voted for virtually EVERY spending bill since she’s been in Congress. That includes the bills that funded Abortions in DC, Planned Parenthood, Obama’s Amnesty for illegal aliens, ObamaCare, the Ex-Im Bank, NEA, NPR & PBS. That includes the bills that funded the implementation of the Iran Nuclear deal, Syrian Refugee importation, the EPA’s “global warming” Rules, the Education Department’s plan to put boys in girls’ locker rooms, and the Defense Department’s plan to put transsexuals and women in the Green Berets.

And finally, here’s some more:

Salon Magazine calls her “The Right’s Most Hated RINO [Republican In Name Only].” Rush Limbaugh noted that “she campaigned as a conservative, but she never has been” and said “conservative Republicans have claimed Kevin McCarthy’s scalp here and they might also get Renee Ellmers.” Mark Levin says she’s “a fraud” and declared “RINO Renee Ellmers must go.”

No one’s defending Renee Ellmers here, and there’s a case to be made for Kay Daly’s use of “craven weasels.”

But really, child abuser? RINO? Feminazi?

She keeps using those words. We do not think they mean what Kay Daly thinks they mean.
