Two thieves posing as nursing assistants gained entry into a pair of Cary nursing homes earlier this month and stole jewelry worth tens of thousands of dollars, Cary Police report.
Surveillance cameras captured the women, wearing hospital scrubs, entering retirement homes and searching for unlocked doors to residential units. Residents who encountered the women described them as polite and friendly.
The incidents occurred on July 4 at Waltonwood Cary Parkway, and July 11 at Searstone. Anyone with information on the suspects is encouraged to call the Cary police.
