We will remember 2012 as a violent year. It started with clashes in Syria and ended with bloodshed in Newtown, Conn. In between, though, we carried on as usual. What else could we do, really? We went to the park with our kids, ate cotton candy at the state fair and swam on hot summer daysdays like June 29, when it reached 105 degrees at the airport. We lost jobs and found jobs. We re-elected Barack Obama as president. We laughed and we mourned. The year went by so fast. Too fast, some would say. For others, not fast enough. Lisa Sorg
