The Durham Performing Arts Center will offer $20 tickets just for Durham residents to upcoming events.
The new DPAC For All special was announced this afternoon. The number of tickets specifically for Durham residents will vary by show — and, no, Hamilton will not be included. Instead, DPAC will hold a lottery for forty $10 seats, with no added ticket fees, for all performances of Hamilton (check DPAC’s social media accounts for more info on that coming up).
Durham residents who want DPAC for All tickets must ask for them in person at the Blue Cross of Blue Shield of North Carolina Ticket Center at DPAC, located at 123 Vivian Street. The ticket center is open from ten a.m. to five p.m. Monday through Friday and ten a.m. to two p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets will be available until one month before each event, while supplies last.
“We are honored to have been part of Durham’s great community over the past decade,” DPAC General Manager Bob Klaus said. “As a way to show our appreciation, we wanted to offer Durham residents an exclusive opportunity to experience one of the nation’s top theatre experiences at a discounted price.”
For its 2016-17 season, DPAC held 223 events — ninety-three of which sold out — with a total attendance of more than 459,000 guests.
